Google launches Google Health

This week Google launched Google Health, a new product aimed at storing users basic medical information.

Google Health is an online service which gathers relevant information connected to their health conditions - hospital visits, drug dosages and alerts to drug interactions.

Personally I would be fairly dubious about using a service like this. Giving a company, whos primary source of revenue is advertising ($5.19 billion in the first 3 months this year), all my personal health information sets off privacy alarm bells in my head.

Any one else have any thoughts? Would you use this service?

My lord, what a scary prospect. I didnt know they were planning on doing this. Im right in assuming people voluntarily put their information in this system? What is the point exactly, why would people do this?

I definately dont feel comfortable with a company who like you say, is practically an advertising agency having access to my personal details.

Take Care
