Mobile phones may be more dangerous than we thought

Replies to This Discussion

Hmm, since the link was chopped:

Dr Vini Khurana reckons that using mobile phones for 10 years or more can double the risk of brain cancer.

Yeah dude,

I've read an article from a organic shop here in France (Satoriz) about what they call geobiologie (geobiology I guess). Its all about the earth's different feilds - magnetic, electric, and radiological - and how they affect us.

If we think about it a bit, our body is full of charged particles that move around - the ECM!!! :-) As well, all action potential and stuff, and therefore, every though we have! Anyhow, by Fleming's left hand rule every current creates a magnetic feild in a 90° direction. A current is a charged particle in movement. In the end current affects magnetic feilds and visa versa.

So, if you have a phone stuck to your ear, the current in the phone will create a magnetic field that will disturb the body's functioning. There is also the signal i guess. It is recommended to use a handsfree kit.

What about sleeping next to an alarm clock? We spend a third of our life in bed, with radiations from our alarm clock/phone disturbing our body. Our head does tends to be closest to our alarm clock.

Me writing this message on this computer is probably not good for me! Well, its an Apple, and we know their the best! ;-)

I'm going on a weekend course in geobiologie in May - more info then I hope!

Out of curiosity...

How does the extra-cellular matrix relate to our thoughts? I mean, specifically... or should we delve into emergentism and epiphenomenalism here? :-)

What radiations are you concerned with from your alarm clock that you're not concerned with from light-bulbs, radio waves, computers, etc? Or are they all worrying?

I'd like to hear more about what geobiologie has to say on how we're affected by the earth's various fields. Do they consider extra-terrestrial fields too? For instance, the gravitational pull of the moon; solar flares and sunspots...?

Its all real interesting stuff. I go to this geobiologie thing on the 8th may. So we'll know more then.

Re ECM, it is though that loads of comunication goes through the ECM - faster that nerves. I dunno if its mechanical or chemical or both; what sort of info... Someone from ESO needs to get Andrew Greig on this...

But for me, bascically, we are being that are full of charged particles that are moving all the time. They do that for basic physiology. If something affects this movement of particles then it affects our physiology. Mobile phones, radios (alarm clocks), Sat nav, high voltage cables. Light bubls as well for sure, but perhaps to a negligable level...

I think other planets definitively play a part into it all. And affect us all in different ways. Do you beleive in astrology Austin?

No, I don't believe in astrology :-)

I've not heard about the ECM communicating faster than nerves. Is there any research on that?

There is some research. I remember doing it in my fundamentals of osteopathy class in second year. But I don't remember any specifics (as usual :-)) Need to ask someone here from the ESO who got Andrew Greig.

All planets have a magnetic/gravitational force that affect one another. I think that the earth's fields affect us and the earth is affected my the other planets.

well, went to this geobiology course. Its was extremly fasinating and i'll be doing much more but i didn't get time to challenge the teacher about mobile phones and radios and stuff.

Geobiology seems to be more about the earth itself rather than the effect of other planets: Under water currents, cracks in the out core, different energy fields crossing, buildings and other structural things.
(yet we did use the sun quite a bit in certain exercises...)
