Sacral Musings

Dear colleagues,

Happy new year to every one.
I have typing a new article on my blog about the "psychology of the tissue" and would be interested if you could let me a comment either here or on my blog.
The address is http://pierreosteopath.blogspot.com
I would be interested to know what you think about it.

Take care,

Pierre

Salutations pierre,
How nice it is to have something truly osteopathic discussed on this site, whilst im not in total agreement with everything you say ,I am a very full time, (exclusively structural/anatomical) osteopath and cant ignore the fact that we as practitioners are constantly aware of that something extra that is behind the patient's physical presentation (to varied degrees). The archaic concept of the mind body dichotomy is of much debate in modern neuroscience as it itself advances and i think we as osteopaths must look closely at the neurobiology, not only of mechanical pain but the effect of hypothalamic or limbic distrubance on the central modulation of pain itself.

what are your thoughts on the concept of a "key lesion"?

Key lesion, as in primary lesion?

key lesion ? quezako ?

yeah like a primary lesion popular amongst classical osteopaths, The thinkig is that if you fix that one then all the other problems will get better too, It could be a physical one but also psychoemotive as well
