The purpose of Sacral Musings is to provide an inclusive and safe platform where osteopaths and student osteopaths can connect, share knowledge and learn from each other. Our aim is to facilitate vibrant, engaging and intelligent discussion.
We expect all members of the Sacral Musings community to abide by these guidelines:
- That's another person you are talking to
Please respect other people's views and beliefs and consider their impact when making your contribution. It is possible to share views in a way that that does not feel divisive, threatening or toxic to others.
We welcome debate and dissent, but the key to maintaining Sacral Musings as an inviting space is to stick to the passionate discussion of issues.
- Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?
We will not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or other forms of hate-speech, or content that could be interpreted as such. We actively discourage obscenity and abuse. Personal attacks on others have no place in an intelligent discussion.
We will remove any posts that are obviously commercial or otherwise spam-like.
Think before you press the send button. Your words will be archived on this site and available for anyone to find for a long time - the web has a very long memory.
Keep it relevant. Forum conversations generally relate to a specific topic. We recognise that some conversations can be wide-ranging, but if you post something which is unrelated to the original topic then it may be removed. The lost art of conversation trumps the sound bite.
Basically..
It's the individual people here who determine the experience here. Take some responsibility for the quality of the community in which you're participating. Help make it better and it will be.
With acknowledgement and gratitude to the Guardian, Well and WebMD for guideline inspiration.
