The Institute Of Classical Osteopathy was established in 1956 with the aim to publish and teach the key aspects and scope of osteopathy. The Institute has run a Practitioner Development Course, which is open to all osteopaths since 1990.
Key topics covered are: osteopathic principles, applied mechanics, applied anatomy, osteopathic centres, obstetrics and paediatrics, long lever technique/ body adjustment.
This year the Course will be held over 10 weekends between September and June at the Raworth Centre in Dorking Surrey and the lecture team will include Mervyn Waldman (March weekend), Chris Batten, Henry Lee, Jamie Archer, Sarah Boswell amongst others.
